Somewhere Safe features photos and writing by Sheboygan based Hmong artist M Chang. The book documents the people, spaces, and emotional turmoil Chang has experienced over the past year. Chang’s images, of her family and her daily life, frame rather than explicitly describe her intimacy with the subjects; the moments always remain her own.
