The Pond Room
Welcome to the Ecosystem!
The Pond Room is an experimental risograph press and occasional newsletter publication.
The Pond Room is a place to relax and explore a world around you, in all its abundance of organic and inorganic matter, human and other than human entities. The Pond Room is home to creatures in various stages of becoming — larva, tadpoles, fledglings, adults, and elders.
Looking for poetry, fiction, essays, experimental forms, weather reports, images, anecdotes, research, and so on, all intended for print but open to links to online works and other formats. Works do not have to be in a “finished” state — the pond room is a good place for a first idea, test it out and rework, and then test it again in a future issue.
All submissions should loosely relate to the idea of relating — to yourself, to others, to plants, animals, to ideas.
The Pond Room publication will be a double sided 11x14” 2 color, risograph printed zine (green and federal blue), on pastel paper, which can be purchased in person or online and mailed to subscribers. The Pond Room newsletter will be designed and edited by Sara Caron.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
